However fabulous gadget

However fabulous gadget the iPad is and can be, from its very delivery to the market there have been many people who consider it full of shortcomings and disadvantages which significantly exceed possible strong sides. The number of people sharing these views is increasing every day. What’s interesting, the main reason for consumers’ displeasure is connected with the very core of the gadget – its OS.

In general, people like sleek and finite forms of the gadget, its quality apps which also enjoy the same refined and stylish design. But at the same time they would like the OS to be more open, not a walled garden – a description quite commonly used when dealing with Apple’s products – something more friendly to changes and alterations. It means that all those people would like to have an iPad produced on the Android platform with all the advantages the platform can provide including the notorious Flash which caused so many arguments and discussions this spring.

That’s why, it’s not surprising that people have been waiting for an Android tablet to come to the market and their expectations were really high. Of course, everybody understood that The Android Tablet from Google will not come up until Honeycomb is released next year but most people hoped for some worthy devices running Froyo to be delivered before this Christmas. Consumers had all the grounds to hope for such Christmas presents from third-party tablet manufacturers while the latter tended to instigate such hopes with promising announcements and revelations.

At last the most promising Android tablets arrived to the market, however, the result turned to be different from what had been planned. Both gadgets are below consumers’ expectations and their success at the market is quite dubious. While there are different reviews concerning Samsung’s 7-inch Galaxy Tablet, as some just consider it to be too expensive, Toshiba's 10-inch Folio 100 is being withdrawn from retailing spots due to a high rate of returns. When comparing reviews of the both gadgets, it becomes clear that consumers just wanted to have another magical device on the Android and what they got was another version of the iPad running on the Android platform and providing all usual and regular functionalities. That’s why most users when talking about the tablet disadvantages prefer to speak about such things as clumsy forms and inconvenient size, few apps available and a high prize. No doubt, people would prefer two cameras with splendid resolution, a powerful processor, significant memory, abundance of apps and all of that at the price lower than that of the iPad. So, if you do not want to disappoint friends and relatives with your present, choose something magical which both Galaxy and Folio are definitely not.
